Two German-speaking special magazines about AC/DC were published

By: Thomas

The success of Black Ice made it possible: Within just a few days two very extensive special editions about AC/DC were published in Germany.
Last week Rock Classics started with a 132-page special magazine which can be ordered for Euro 6,90 in magazine stores or for Euro 11,00 (incl. postage) within Europe via PAYPAL at office@slam-zine.com.
The high-gloss paper magazine contains a wide variety of interviews and reports with AC/DC or about AC/DC, respectively. There are also reports about their companions, former band members and (alleged) family members.
A highlight for me is the very authentic chapter about the AC/DC fan scene, including a nice interview with DAILY DIRT reader Jürgen Keller, as well as the great choice of photographs which includes (up till now) unpublished photos, e.g. of the 1977 Hamburg gig.
In addition to the magazine there is a CD with music, which still considers AC/DC to be their roots. Link: Here

Having announced it for quite some time, Metal Hammer published its magazine on Monday. There are also 132 pages in this special magazine and two big posters.
The magazine can be bought for Euro 5,90 in magazine stores.
There is a very comprehensive spectrum of reports, interviews, concert reviews about the complete concert hall tour, a quiz, numerous old articles from the early 80s and much more.
I already knew all the photos but the selection is still very good and extremely comprehensive. In my opinion the only negative thing is that the chapter about the fan scene has been researched and comprised in a very superficial and not very caring manner.
Five fan portraits in a row unfortunately cannot show the differentiated and extensive picture of the fan scene, which is something that was done particularly well by Classic Rock in its special magazine. Link: Here
